Support the Museum

America has given us some of the world's most innovative poetic voices such as Walt Whitman, Emily Dickinson, and Sterling Brown. All of these voices, along with countless others, have all helped to define American poetry in their own unique ways.

The American Poetry Museum supports the continuation of this great tradition of American poetry in all its forms, but it also does much more. It uses poetry as a tool for education and dialogue and exists as a local, national, and international model for helping people to make meaningful connections with poetry in their own lives and communities.

With your support, the seeds of this bold new project can be planted and grown into an institution nurtured by the voices of its audience. Your support will not only lay the foundation for a brand new institution but it will also demonstrate a commitment to forever change the way that people use museums and a promise to support the power of poetry.
